Nei boschi i movimenti sono così rapidi che l’occhio di città non riesce quasi a catturarli, o così lenti che non riesce ad avvertirli.  Nei boschi, d’improvviso, idee che ci hanno fatto compagnia per decenni invecchiano e muoiono, e voltandoci scopriamo di aver lasciato su un ramo la nostra vecchia muta di pelle. I boschi sembrano sapere qualcosa di noi. Noi cosa sappiamo di loro?

In the woods, movements are so quick that the city eye cannot grasp them, or so slow that it cannot perceive them. In the woods, suddenly, ideas that kept us company for decades get old and die, and turning round we find we’ve left our old moult of skin on a branch. The woods seem to know something about us.
