La bella e la bestia

Una foto che attira il sole. A volte mi chiedo perché gli esseri umani si siano creati un modo di vivere che prevede che vadano a lavorare anche quando il tempo dice a chiare lettere: stai a casa, mescola qualcosa di caldo sul fuoco, leggiti un libro a letto.

A sun-attracting pic. Sometimes I wonder why human beings have created a way of life that sees them getting out to work when the weather clearly says: stay home, stir something hot, read a book in bed.

Voglio dipingere un muro di viola, e avere un gioiello arancione, voglio scrivere un bel libro e e imparare a cantare, voglio un vestito verde smeraldo e un cappello piumato e un rossetto color corallo, e voglio sempre sapere chi sei.

I want to paint a wall purple, and wear an orange jewel, I want to write a good book and I want to learn how to sing, I want an emerald green dress and a a feathered hat and a coral lipstick, and I still want to know who you are.

Sto cercando la calma. E non ha molto senso cercarla in modo frenetico, preoccupato, ansioso. So dov’è, ma in qualche modo mi sfugge. Ne ho bisogno per avere nuove idee e per prendermi cura di me. Questa è la prima foto digitale in un anno in cui sono riuscita a catturare lo stesso effetto della Polaroid. Luce molto scarsa. Com’è successo, così che lo possa rifare? I’m searching for quiet. It doesn’t make much sense to be frantic, worried, anxious in the process, does it? I know where quiet is but somehow it escapes me. I need it to come up with new ideas and take care of myself. This is the first digital photo in one year where I could capture the same effect as Polaroid. Very low light. How did it happen, so that I can do it again? So much in photography is just about how much light. Sometimes what you need is that – almost nothing.
