La bella e la bestia

E’ il profumo del campeggio, del sugo, del mare. Da una foglia si levano ogni volta cento misteri.  

It’s the smell of camping, tomato sauce, the sea. One leaf is enough to raise a thousand mysteries.

C’è qualcosa in questa luce che fa venir voglia di partire. Ogni anno a un certo punto alzo la testa e un’apertura all’orizzonte mi fa tornare in mente un posto che mi manca. La luce dischiude lo spazio e ti dice che là in fondo ci sono ancora montagne, boschi, che intorno c’è il mare, che la terra si estende a nord e a sud. E’ qualcosa di sospeso fra nostalgia e anticipazione. L’altro giorno cercando di fare una foto mi sono seduta in un posto in casa mia da cui non avevo mai guardato. D’improvviso era come stare in una stanza che non avevo mai visto, la stanza di qualcun altro.  Il mondo è tutto così, pieno di cose da guardare, di vecchi posti dove sarà come non essere mai stati. Voglia di foglie di banano, strane spezie, mare viola. E’ piuttosto strano osservare il cambio della luce anche sulla rete, sprink lo chiama “colours from the future“, a Habit of being fanno il burro,  krom999 ha pensato un po’ alla questione del silenzio e ha scritto una bella cosa, e c’è un sottile cambio di luce nelle foto di habit.

There’s something in this light that makes me want to leave. Every year at some stage I raise my eyes and some opening on the horizon reminds me of some place I miss. The light discloses space and tells you that somewhere down there there’s still mountains, woodlands, that all around there is the sea, that land stretches far North and far South. It’s something suspended between nostalgia and anticipation. The other day while trying to take a picture I sat down in a spot in my house where I usually never take a look from. Suddenly it was just like being in a room I’d never seen, somebody’s else room. The whole world’s like that, full of stuff to watch, full of old places that will be as if we’ve never been there. A desire for banana leaves, strange spices, purple sea. It’s quite strange to observe the change of light on the web too – Spring calls it “colours fom the future“, at Habit of being they’re making butter, krom999 has been thinking about silence for a while and wrote a bright thing, and there’s a subtle change of light in the pictures at habit.
