La bella e la bestia

Presissima dal lavoro, oggi, ma mi sono resa conto all’improvviso che in tre mesi non ho mai postato su una delle cose che adoro – disegni, illustrazioni e carnet de voyage. Mio fratello è un fantastico disegnatore a mano libera da quando aveva 4 anni, e questo mi ha reso timida, ed è giusto che sia così; l’uomo che da solo ha fatto meraviglie per quelli come me che non hanno un’idea è Danny Gregory; attualmente è in pausa dal suo blog molto interessante, ma è uscito il suo nuovo libro e i suoi libri precedenti sono autentici miracoli – specialmente The creative licence – è tutto disegnato a mano compreso il testo! Per quanto riguarda i carnet de voyage, proprio in Italia abbiamo uno dei più sofisticati in assoluto, Stefano Faravelli; se volete vedere cosa possono diventare due pagine di diario, date un’occhiata ai lavori di Elizabeth Perry; Simo Capecchi tiene una cronaca dei suoi diari illustrati online, potete vederli qui, e Simo è anche un’ottima guida a lavori altrui. Up to my ears with work, but I suddenly realized I never posted once in three months about one thing I really love – drawings and carnet de voyages. My brother has always been the best at freehand drawing since he was four years old, and that has made me shy, and rightly so; the man who has done wonders for people like me who haven’t got a clue is Danny Gregory; he is currently on hiatus from his very interesting blog, but his new book is out and his old ones are real miracles – especially The creative licence - everything is hand-drawn including text!
